Matej Zorec

An architect Matej Zorec born in Ljubljana, year 1969. Graduated in University of Ljubljana — Faculty of arhitecture year 1999. Since year 2000 works as independent creator, especially as graphic designer, unique and industrial designer and architect of exhibitions and showrooms. In year 2007 he get Brumen’s award (national design award) for excellency in design. He independently set on exhibition BIO21 (Ljubljana international bienale of industrial design). After 2004 works in his own clock design studio in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In year 2009 his brand Angeline clocks wear has been proclamated. World live Premiere of Angelines was in Saalbau Rhypark, at the ArtBasel Basel Switzerland in June 2012. In June 2013 was Honorable Mentioned by the Jury of International Art Festival Commitee from New York. For his work he received a personal commendation from the Vice president of Swiss watchmaker Chamber. In September 2014 Angelines were selected by Getty Research Institute Los Angeles, as important work of contemporary art. In July, year 2015 selected in a year program of CSUCG (Montenegro center of contemporary art) and exhibited in Petrović Chateau, Podgorica, Montenegro. Since autumn 2016 he exhibits in Ana K. Holm Art Gallery. In February 2017 he performances in City Hall in Oxford. In April 2018 become a member of Ljubljana artists Asociation. In July 2018 Angelines reach Slovenian live Premiere in a DLUL Gallery, Ljubljana, Slovenia. In December 2018 contributed at Winter salon in Gallery of Union of Slovenian artists Asociations in Ljubljana. In December 2020 recived the recognition certificate of Luxemburg Art Price commission. In June 2021 contributed at May Salon’21 in Depo Libertas in Koper-Capodistria, Slovenia. In May 2022 contributed at May Salon’22 in Kibla Portal, Maribor, Slovenia. In Summer 2023. A great solo exhibition “Angeline – angelines” in Šivčeva hiša Gallery in Radovljica, Slovenia. In May 2025 contributed at May Salon’25 on Castle Ptuj, Ptuj, Slovenia.
